Lord of the Rings Skirt (and Texas in Autumn)

As promised, a few pictures (in the sun and out) of the Tolkien-themed skirt I recently bought:

The pattern—or, more accurately, lettering—around the hem is, of course, the inscription on the Ring.

And yes, these photos were taken outside, in late September, in eighty-something degree weather; so far, fall has been nearly indistinguishable from summer. The view is still really nice as well (although I’m only in this house, with its vistas and swimming pool, as a guest).

A final closeup of the hem:

In any case, I’m really happy with the skirt. What do you think?

  1. I’m not sure I would feel easy with having the words of Sauron accompanying me wherever I went. I hope your vista doesn’t suddenly turn into Mordor.

  2. That is a really awesome skirt!

    • Thank you! I found it on Etsy, and it was priced a little above what I’d usually spend on clothes, but I decided to splurge with some money I’d been saving up.
